Intravenous Catheter Audit

One of the outcomes of our Clinical Audit Workshop last year was to set up a group within BVCSp to support the use of clinical audit in specialist practice. One of our first activities has been to see how easy it is to perform these audits by picking procedures commonly performed in specialist practice for audit. Our first audit looks at intravenous catheter removal as this is performed commonly in both small animal and equine practice. The results of this are therefore important for the animals we treat. This is combined data from a number of specialist referral small animal practices. The Equine data will follow.

We hope you find this useful and would encourage you to use this data to see where you are compared to our combined data. We have added the sheet we used for collection.
