Clinical Profile

Fabio graduated from the University of Bari, Italy, in 2003 and moved to the UK the following year. After working for 4 years in general practice, Fabio completed a rotating small animal internship at the University of Edinburgh in 2009 after which he moved on to complete a 3-year residency program in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London. In 2012 Fabio became an American board recognised specialist in small animal internal medicine (DACVIM). After the residency Fabio spent a year in research at the RVC studying the genetic causes of canine inflammatory bowel disease and worked as a locum internal medicine clinician in various referral hospitals. In January 2014 Fabio also became a European board recognised specialist in small animal internal medicine (DECVIM-CA). Fabio became a permanent member of the Internal Medicine Service at AMVS in May 2014. Fabio enjoys all aspects of canine and feline internal medicine with a special interest in gastroenterology and immunology.
