After graduating from the University of Cambridge, Jane spent 2 years in mixed practice before undertaking a Junior and Clinical Scholarship in Equine Surgery at the Royal Veterinary College. Jane joined the Liphook Equine Hospital as one of their team of specialist surgeons in 2000 and became a Partner of The Liphook Equine Hospital in 2006. She became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery in 2000. Jane is interested in all aspects of equine surgery and has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging. Jane is frequently invited to speak at national and international meetings.

Jane has authored and co-authored a number of papers based on clinical case material and written book chapters for books aimed at general practitioners and nurses.
