Clinical Profile

Jo is head of the cardiology service within the small animal teaching hospital (SATH) of the University of Liverpool Leahurst campus. The cardiology service includes a team of 4 senior cardiologists and 3 residents following the ECVIM-CA Cardiology residency training programme. We have a busy cardiology service, but work as part of an interdisciplinary referral team within SATH, so are able to deal with most cases which may have more than one problem. We are fully equipped for our cardiology interventional service, which includes pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty and minimally invasive closure of PDAs.

Research

I have research interests in all aspects of clinical cardiology, in particular cardiomyopathies in dogs and cats, the genetics of cardiomyopathies and echocardiography.
