Clinical Profile

Kieran is a Diplomate of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology), and an RCVS Recognised Specialist. He has published over 30 scientific papers and case reports in peer-reviewed journals and written a large number of articles for professional journals. He has spoken internationally on cardiac disease and interventional radiology, and been invited to speak at veterinary cardiology congresses all over the world. He is Clinical Director at Eastcott Veterinary Referrals, Swindon, and leads the Cardiology and Interventional Surgery services there. He pioneered transpulmonic stent angioplasty (TPSA) procedures and hybrid vascular surgeries in the UK, leading the first team to be accredited to perform trans-catheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) of the mitral valve in dogs with mitral valve disease, and acting as a consultant for other centres developing the technique in later years. Kieran is an active clinician and has a pragmatic approach to straightforward and complex cases.
