Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging

Current Post:

Principal of Cambridge Radiology Referrals

Clinical Profile

Throughout my career I have done both large and small animal practice prior to specialising as a veterinary radiologist. Since doing my radiology residency at the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge, I have maintained a very clinical approach to radiology and established an outpatient referral service where we consult with the owners, examine the patient and then decide upon the best form of imaging for the particular presentation. We work closely with internal medicine clinicians, surgical oncologists, medical oncologists and soft tissue surgeons to ensure that the diagnostic imaging yields as much information as possible for the treatment of the patient which is, of course, the ultimate goal. While we see all manner of patients , we do see a lot of cancer patients and as such I have developed a particular interest in this subspecialty. The "we" includes Amanda Mc Keane RVN DipAVN (Surgical), a very experience surgical and anaesthesia nurse and Jennie Payne our practice manager and front of house representative.
