Clinical Profile

Rachel graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2003 and spent a period of time in general practice before completing a rotating internship in private practice and an ECVS residency in small animal surgery at the University of Liverpool. Rachel achieved the European diploma in small animal surgery in 2012 and spent the following five years as part of the soft tissue surgery service in a busy multi-disciplinary referral hospital. Her research interests include Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome, feline ureterolithiasis and surgical oncology. Rachel is an associate editor for the Journal of Small Animal Practice, sits on the BSAVA programme committee and is a member of the AVSTS research cooperative committee. She greatly enjoys all aspects of soft tissue surgery but particularly enjoys airway surgery, thoracic surgery and surgical oncology.
