Clinical Profile

I have worked in clinical practice for 20 years, 19 years of that in specialist veterinary care. I strongly support the use of evidence based veterinary medicine in diagnostic and therapeutic decisions to ensure that the best available care is provided to our patients. My clinical areas of interest are management of fluid deficits, anaemia and coagulopathies. I have always had an interest in development of veterinary specialists and been involved with the creation of accredited internship and residency programmes in 2 universities in the U.K.

Research

I have always had a clinically focussed role, and my research has been driven by questions arising during clinical practice. I therefore have a diverse portfolio of veterinary publications. I have published in a number of areas including lungworm, anaemia, immune mediated diseases and attributes associated with training programmes.
