Clinical Profile

I read cases generated from biopsy material submitted by the major veterinary referral centres, university veterinary teaching hospitals and general veterinary practitioners from across the UK, Ireland and Europe. I review immunohistochemical testing on some of those cases. I provide prompt feedback for referring veterinarians through written reports, emails and telephone conversations. I teach veterinary students, and pathology resident trainees planning on sitting board exams. I am very interested in collaborating on clinically relevant research projects.

Research

I am studying the pathogenesis of equine recurrent laryngeal neuropathy, assessing cell bodies associated with the recurrent laryngeal nerves, their axons and the neuromuscular junction using confocal and immunofluorescence microscopy, laser microdissection and RT-qPCR.
